Creases and wrinkles that run along the face can make some individuals turn to dermal fillers and surgery to address their cosmetic concerns. However, these options are not ideal for everyone.
A Younger You Medical Spa proudly offers Microneedling as a solution. A form of Microneedling, Microneedling has the potential to address your aesthetic needs without having to rely on fillers and time consuming surgery.
How Does Microneedling Work and How Will I Feel?
Microneedling involves your skin receiving multiple pricks from a device called the Rejuvapen®. These are pin sized pricks and are big enough to trigger a healing response from the skin but small enough not to damage healthy tissue. By triggering this healing response, Microneedling primes the body for the production of structural proteins like Collagen and Elastin that are responsible for the taut, smooth appearance of the skin.
Minor discomfort may be experienced during the procedure but this can be addressed through the use of a topical numbing cream or ointment. Following this treatment, patients should experience about 24 hours of downtime with symptoms similar to a mild sunburn: redness of skin, heightened sensitivity to the sun, etc. Ask us about hydrating and moisturizing skin care products to help aid the rejuvenation of your skin.
Results are visible immediately and will continue to develop throughout the week after the procedure. We recommend three to six treatments in order to get the most of the process, but this may depend on the individual. Each session should take less than two hours and each of them will be four to six weeks apart from one another.
What Makes Microneedling Special?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive form of Microneedling and is ideal for working professionals who cannot afford to spend the days of recovery that a more extensive option may require.
This treatment is efficient on many skin types and can be used on almost any part of the body to:
- Reduce Scarring
- Remove Wrinkles
- Enhance Skin Texture and Tone
Is Microneedling Safe for me as a Patient?
This is a personal question and will be answered on a personal basis through a scheduled consultation. This consultation will involve one of our professionals sitting down with you to discuss your medical history and cosmetic goals. If it turns out that Microneedling isn’t the right treatment to help you meet your goals, we will go over alternatives with you.
If this seems like the cosmetic aid that you’ve been looking for, contact one of our offices—with locations in Burlington and Brookfield—and find out for sure!
